Last Night Of Ballyhoo

Written by Alfred Uhry

Meet the privileged world of the Levy/Freitag families. It's Atlanta, Georgia in1939, Gone with the Wind is having its world premiere and Hitler is invading Poland, but Atlanta's elitist German Jews are much more concerned with who is going to Ballyhoo, the social event of the season. Even the trappings and conveniences of wealth and prestige are no protection from the glaring eyes of anti-Semitism or the replicated discrimination within their own culture. Sparkling banter and hilarious characters abound in this dramedy by the Award-winning playwright who brought us Driving Miss Daisy. Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and winner of the 1997 TonyŽ for Best Play of the Year.

Opening Night: Friday, September 9, 2005 - Closing Night: Saturday, September 24, 2005
